Riding against cancer since 2017

You already ride just for fun... why not also ride for a good cause?

A motorcycling event where the passion for riding becomes direct help in the fight against cancer. With your registration or donation, you will be contributing to the research carried out by the Foundation for Biomedical Research of the Ramón y Cajal Hospital.

A multi-brand action in which, whatever your bike, you must accumulate as many kilometers as possible during the indicated period in October. The idea is that each kilometer becomes 10 cents of direct aid against cancer... although after so many editions, we know it finally becomes much more.

Registrations, donations, auctions, merchandising sales and collaborations have turned the event into something much bigger and with greater impact. Since 2017 we have traveled together more than 693,343 kilometers and donated €100,737.75 to the Foundation. Figures to be proud of, but it is not enough... we know that in the fight against cancer, there are still many kilometers to research.

So this year we want more noise, more participation, more kilometers, more awareness and to achieve much more together for research.

Records on two wheels

The ninth edition blew the roof off: €32,105 raised, more than 30 associations and groups on board (including 26 H.O.G. Chapters!), and 166,986 km ridden on motorcycles to raise awareness about the disease. We smashed every record we had set before — fundraising ×3, participants ×5, kilometers ×6. The motorcycling family showed once again that solidarity has no brand logo.

Everything adds up against cancer

Despite adverse weather, the number of registrations is maintained. Combined with the generosity in donations and the increase in sponsors, a record figure to date is achieved. Fortunately, not all fundraising depends solely on kilometers ridden. In Kxi, absolutely everything raised is donated, regardless of the kilometers ridden. The motorcycling community is not stopped by a few drops!

We keep growing

In our goal of consolidating the event, we moved the end party to El Fogón de la Casona in Valdemorillo. A space specialized in celebrations that offers us its facilities in support of the cause. We try to expand the entertainment offer to encourage participation from the motorcycling community. Kxi sets its sights on the future.

Pure motorcycling solidarity

Year of terrible economic crisis. Unfortunately, all those patients who need treatment cannot wait for better times. After a difficult edition without a main sponsor... we are surprised by the appearance of many others on a more modest scale. Many "few" make a lot!!! If we add to this a surprising participation and solidarity from registrants, we get a fantastic edition.

Making ourselves known

Once registrations stop being a face-to-face task... it's time to expand horizons. A more or less casual appearance on Broncano's program joins our already classic promotional videos in which some renowned dubbing actor gives us their voice and talent to support the cause. In this fifth edition, Maxxium increases its contribution as a farewell gift. Our paths separate but our gratitude endures.

We don't stop

The pandemic continued to wreak havoc, so we decided to renew ourselves. Cancer never stops and neither could we, so our sponsor Gestycontrol developed an online registration system for us with which the event could continue. Through a code, each participant could register their start and end kilometers within the stipulated period. Very good result considering the numerous restrictions present.

The action consolidates

Significant increase in participants, kilometers and fundraising. A Welcome Pack is added to the face-to-face registrations, which awakens unexpected interest. Many participants year after year don't want to be left without their commemorative t-shirt. A weekend route is also established to accumulate kilometers and ride for the cause. The contribution increases to 10 cents per kilometer thanks to the supportive collaboration of Maxxium, La Alacena and Zapatones.

Adding ideas and Kms

The second (and rainy) edition continued with its face-to-face registration format at the dealership. The event t-shirt and closing concert (in this case by The Niftys) saw the light for the first time. Although somewhat more consolidated, the rain took its toll on participation... but not on fundraising. In addition to the direct prizes for the most "mile-eaters", the raffle among all registered participants is also established. Highlighting Roncato's help in this aspect since the first edition.

The adventure begins

In collaboration with Geicam. Our inaugural event started on October 19th (breast cancer day), more as an internal activity of H.O.G Madrid Chapter than as a multi-brand activity. In a risky bet, the Maxxium Group was then responsible for backing the 5 cents per kilometer. Live registrations, event handkerchief and control cards to accumulate kilometers and stamps at the different checkpoints until validation at the End of Party in RedSeven.
